Go to your account online and look at the credits on your transactions. The government payment will usually show as a credit to your energy account, rather than as an actual deduction from your direct debit.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
It does, thanks for your help. Just a query, shouldn't it actually come back to our own accounts to actually help us with these bills rather than sit in theirs without them telling us
@Andyboo
because companies have different systems and were able to choose the best way to implement.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I think things differ depending on the circumstances. I get the £66/67 credited to my energy account and my DD is reduced by the same amount. So, I’m £66 better off but my energy account gets the same amount as it always did.
Now, my tariff rates went down on 1st October and I have a hefty amount of credit. I would have expected my DD to have reduced by more than £66 but my credit will keep increasing until I deem to intervene.
If someone’s tariffs increased on 1st October and/or they have little or no credit balance then whereas their DD may have risen from October, it may well just stay the same for now as the £66 government assistance is effectively paying the extra.
I hope that made sense, but essentially we’re all getting the help, it just may show up in different ways.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
@Andyboo I've doubled checked and you Direct Debit is set for 28th of each month, you'll be able to check this via your online account, it could be that it took a few days for your payment to show on your account, you won't see your next Subsidy payment until on or around 28 November 😊
