Hi, I have a battery fail notice on my gas pre-payment meter. Currently onhold to Eon to try and speak with someone - an hour on hold already. How long does it typically take for a meter to be replaced?
This will likely be considered a priority job, since that error means the gas meter is going to fail completely soon. Chances are it can be arranged within a couple of weeks.
Just so you're aware, replacing that gas meter will result in both the gas and electric meters being replaced and upgraded to smart meters.

@SimoL I'm having the same problem with my gas meter, I reported the fault by email on Friday, been on hold for over 2hours today, have also sent a WhatsApp message and a message on E-on Facebook page and still no reply.
You've done as much as you can to contact them. They are still overwhelmed so you may have to wait a few days to get a reply to your messages. A few days ago we were warned it could take up to five days so I'm afraid further patience will be required.
