Don't worry about it although I would appreciate removing what you quoted from my now-deleted post (please feel free to leave your reply so that others can take up the baton if they need to). 👍

@Mailman, I’ve removed the quote, and the offending line from my my reply. Once again my apologies, for a late night rant. 🙏

I have to update this post. I have discovered that the website is incorrect. After waiting on phone 30 mins, I got thru to an advisor. She said they WOULD be taking £110. When I asked why my DD wasn’t reduced per the Eon website she indicated that a finance team had adjusted my DD UP £66 so AFTER the £66 govt help my DD would remain the same, even though I’d reduced energy usage by 30% and I was £235 in credit.
i didn’t go into why a finance team is adjusting my DD without my permission, I adjusted my DD to £44.
This is a warning to one and all. There’s shenanigans afoot that they’re not putting on their website. Double check you direct debit if you need to feel the benefit of the govt payment in your pocket.

I'd suspect that the advisor you spoke to completely misinterpreted what had happened. But you got your DD reduced - well done.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. @mac1611 Good evening 👋 your September bill will be on it's way to you. You can reduce your Direct Debit or you can request a refund of your credit if you feel that you are building up too much.
Due to the timing of your government payment hitting your account it meant that it had been credited to your account before your Direct Debit was due to be taken a few days after.
You can reduce your payments by 10% via your online account but if you wanted your payment reduced a little further you'll have to get in touch and we can do it for you.
I hope that this has helped you understand what's happened! Please reach out if you need to - have a great evening 🙂'The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members’
