In my experience only when the scheduled day falls on a weekend or a Bank Holiday. I pay my energy on the 1st of the month, so with that being a Saturday the DD would have delayed until today.

I hear what you are saying,but the information on my account clearly showed that a direct debit of £43 (£110.00 less £67) would be taken on 1st ,October, yet nothing has been claimed. This was the final payment on v7 before I moved to v14 on 2nd October. Trying to contact ,E.on today has proved fruitless. Telephone, WhatsApp and e mail .
Just further evidence of very poor administration and empty promises -
@Johnh1995
Although your DD has been taken religiously on time previously, with all the chaos right now it may just be something else that is playing catch up.
It was admitted-to recently that responses to emails etc. could take up to five days due to the enormous backlog.
I hate to say it, but I think you will need to continue to be patient. Chances are your DD will get taken before you get a response from customer service.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
@Johnh1995
I’ve never really bothered about timings of Direct Debits and contract end dates, there is no interconnection in my mind. i’m Sure that you will get the £400 over the six months but the scheduling might be similar to the pattern of Easter!Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
See Para 5.29 on the following link. It suggests the credit will be paid to your energy account…

A manual DD has now been put in place but whether the £67 will be deducted is anybody's guess. Even my contact did not know what amount would actually be taken -
@Johnh1995
I wish mine would drop off the schedule. I wouldn’t chase for it’s reinstatement either!
