I've had a very productive last day on v7 enjoying electricity rates that will increase from 19.35p/kWh to in the region of 32-34p/kWh (don't start me on gas) depending on how Eon Next implement the EPG.
4 Loaves of bread baked in the oven + 3 washings + 3 tumble drys + hoovering + some ironing + appliances fully charged again. Basically double+ the usage of yesterday with it being the first day since March this year where I used over 10kWh of leccy! Back to frugality and a more measured approach to electricity consumption. It all felt quite liberating going from Scrooge to using leccy like a drunken sailor and now about to put my Scrooge hat on.
Fingers crossed Eon Next have got their systems ready for the changes about to hit their customers. Let us hope we see the systems updating over this weekend and that they are correct.
Well, it’s the 1st October and just checked my account. I’m on V.16 and my tarrif hasn’t changed. Still showing 0.4613p per k/Wh despite the advice from e.on to do nothing as the tariff would reduced automatically. Why am I not surprised 😞
@JoeSoap why are you so sure? E,ON have ignored every single Twitter thread from fixed tariff customers, aren't responding here. I've lost faith in them.
I’ve read advice from Eon Next, Martin Lewis and the government and that advice is to do nothing as the changes will happen automatically.
I chose to follow that advice and not put myself through the stress of trying to contact customer service. If the advice to do nothing turns out to be to our detriment then we will have grounds to seek compensation.
I am a customer just as you are, sharing views on a forum. I do not speak for Eon Next but I can imagine how difficult these changes have been to implement for all the customers with different tariffs and circumstances.
@JoeSoap Yes, electric. I could have sworn I put hat in my OP, but obviously didn't. In my defence it was very early, I was on my phone and couldn't find my glasses😁
