When I was on the phone to CS earlier, they told me they normally have 700 calls a day, whilst on the phone, he said there were 7k currently in the queue waiting to be answered.
Can only see it getting worse and felt sorry for the lad to be honest, he read me the latest notice he had including the bit which said 'reassure customers' etc. etc. Telling him what line to take.
It's not their fault, seems they have the same information we do...
I would advise those that want to leave their fix do so by email. It’s instant and unarguable. Price adjustments can easily backdated. If the company reduces fixed prices to the EPG level later there is no harm done. Other suppliers may not allow customers to quit their fix without penalty, but E.On Next do.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
If they had to check each customers information individually, then yes, I would agree with you.
However, this is updating at max, 50 or so tariffs? I might be over simplifying it, but can see why everyone gets so angry.

That is what I did, at least I have an email chain where I have asked twice about staying on the standard rate and twice being told not to worry, the v19 fixed rate will be adjusted accordingly (which it hasn't as I write this). At least I have something to go back on when/if some reliable information is released................

There's an update on our Tariff rates here 🙂
