I've just had smart meters installed. The IHD is showing that the meters have the wrong tariff information, it is way too expensive. I set my account on line to have half-hourly readings. There have been no readings sent to Eon yet and it is 4 days since the meters were fitted.
It can take up to six weeks for the commissioning process to complete so you might not see anything until then. Hang in there for now as I'm afraid there's no way to speed that up.

Monitor your consumption and try to reduce it. I don't have and don't want a smart meter, but I do monitor my consumption very effectively.
And it could well be longer than 6 weeks.
