Brand new smart meter not worked since it was installed.

    I had brand new SMETS2 smart meters (gas and electric) installed on 1st June 2022 because my previous SMETS1 meters were not compatible.
    Since the new meters were installed, they have NEVER provided EON Next with meter readings, I have to do that manually each month.
    I contacted EON Next today, for the fourth time since the meters were installed only to be told it is a massive issue with thousands of customers affected and that EON Next cannot do anything about it, I will just have to wait until the issue is fixed.
    On previous calls I have been told:
    1. I will have to wait 8 weeks for the meters to connect
    2. It has been referred to our smart meter team
    3. It has been referred to our smart meter team again

    After each contact, it is left to me to call again, EON Next have never come back to me to update me.
    Is anybody else having this issue or am I just being given the run-around?

    Sorry to see you have received no replies on the forum yet. Even though you have had answers from customer service @theunknowntech may be able to help.

    Photos of your meters, comms hub and IHD will help our expert give you advice. Also it would help to post what the lights are doing and at what intervals.
    I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

    I'm sure that you are not alone and that it will eventually be sorted. But I think you need to make a formal complaint (although that will probably mean you wait 8 weeks for a response) so that somebody with a bit more clout, and who is a named individual, can sort this out for you once and for all
    Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
