Looks to me that they just haven't updated the prices yet with respect to the new Oct price cap. Things are taking time to calculate, I guess.
The rates for SVT are out there now. Presumably Eon could post a list of the new 'future' October 1st rates in a blog/email but the tariff pages just list present and past (always have done I guess). Probably in the process of emailing their customer base with the actual rates they will be using for Direct Debit customers (other tariffs available on 1st October are non-DD so will probably be slightly higher as they are now).
If @TangledWeb wants to see what they will be from 1st October, they are listed at MSE Regional Price EPG Caps List . No reason to think that Eon Next will vary from the rates referenced at MSE.
Was just wondering what your thoughts are regarding changing from fixes to the SVT now given these price increases 2+ weeks before to the price cap increase is due to come into effect.
Dave
It depends on what fix you are currently on and whether the rates are more or less than the SVT/EPG rates you can find out from my previous post. So for example my move to v18 fixed online DD is in the process of being stopped on 1st October (that is when my v7 fixed ends). If I were to remain on v18 for the next 12 months, I would be paying slightly more for my anticipated yearly usage (£1842) than if I just drop onto the Next Online Flex SVT/EPG Capped rate (£1785). Each of us needs to plug in the numbers and see where it gets us.
that was kind of the point, the SVT quoted today has already increased by 83+% per kWh electric & 101% per kWh gas over the last 4 days, since Sunday 11th.
Increase the unit cost quoted today by another 80% for the price cap increase on 1 Oct.

Sorry but I’m afraid I don’t quite follow what you mean. In my mind we have the current Next Flex rates and we have a reasonable idea what they will be in October following the recent government announcement and reinforced in the MSE link posted by @Mailman above.
Eon Next are yet to announce the revised October Next Flex rates and from what I can see the ones you quoted are what they set them at using the original Ofgem October price cap and so will be amended soon.
Is that correct or have I missed something?
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
I’m on a fix too but when I read the response in the following link I decided to sit tight. I won’t know if I made the right decision for a couple of weeks I guess. Seems we just have to decide for ourselves what’s best…
