As the problem of customers having IHDs showing out of date tariffs doesn't seem to going away anytime soon, why can't you have a simple form where all a customer needs to do is to leave their email address associated to their account?
All you need is a list of emails that you can action, of course the solution is to fix it at source but I can't say that I'm optimistic that that's going to happen, particularly with the upcoming changes that are going to affect almost every customer.
It would save the Smart Meters/IHD category from being clogged up from these requests, some of which are missed by Mods, but it would need to be posted in such a way that it is VERY OBVIOUS to customers. Even if a customer does miss it at least we could steer them to the link.
I suppose that the nature of the forum overstates the extent of the problem, and that the solutions are not always the same, but perhaps some sort of flow chart to guide us all to the right sold could help.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
My IHD is still displaying incorrect tariffs. I did contact eon-next last year sometime to get the rates updated but they never changed. I don't use the cost part of the IHD so from an end user point of view, so it isn't that important.
However, I do find it annoying from a point of principle, it should be correct and it really shouldn't need the customer to chase the supplier to have it corrected.
