We moved into our property a month and a half ago and there was no IHD left by the previous tenant. I've seen that you can buy a "replacement" online for £50, but that doesn't really seem fair to me as a new customer, as I never had one in the first place, regardless of what the previous tenants did. How can I go about requesting one?
I’m sure I saw an answer to this on a recent thread but I just can’t find it now.
From memory, it is the responsibility of the previous tenant to leave the IHD for you as it will not work elsewhere and I don’t think Eon Next will replace it.
Buying one from Ivie springs to mind but perhaps @theunknowntech can shed more light on this and correct me if I’m wrong.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
To be honest... Buying an ivie Bud will result in you getting something similar to a Chameleon IHD7. Which is always going to be way better than an IHDL SmartView 2 that E.On Next would send you...
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@theunknowntech Yeah I saw your post about the different options and it does look good, its just a lot of money to fork out ATM, especially given I think it should be on the supplier to provide one.
