Hi, the engineer visited yesterday. Before leaving he confirmed with his base that both meters are now reporting data to e.on and that any further problems would be internal to e.on, i.e. data not being forwarded to the billing department.
My account still shows "We’re having trouble getting readings from your smart meter." Is there still a problem?
Thanks for the update on this 😊. The meters can take up to 4 working weeks to start properly communicating with us! (usually a lot sooner) so I would just leave it to connect for now, if the problem still occurs in a week or so please do get back to us!

I appreciate the help with my electricity meter last month, but it seems meter readings are still not getting through.
On 4 October the visiting engineer confirmed with his base that both meters are now reporting data to e.on and advised me that any further problems would be internal to e.on, i.e. data not being forwarded to the billing department.
Today, 4 weeks later, my account still shows: "We’re having trouble getting readings from your smart meter."
Well, all you need is the correct tariff data on the meters and on your IHD and you're home and dry - but for how long?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
