I had gas/electric smart meters installed in October 2021. Initially everything worked fine, then I noticed the IHD not displaying the usage anymore (April 2022). Got in touch with Eon at the time who said:
Upon looking into your account, we can confirm that your electricity smart meter has stopped responding. We have escalated your smart meter issue to the smart metering team, for us to establish a connection with your smart meter remotely, once we receive feedback from them we will be able to take the necessary action. There is currently a large backlog our smart metering team is working through so this may take some time. In the meantime, please provide manual readings. Alternatively, you can send your electricity meter readings via email and we will be more than happy to submit them for you.
Fast-forward a few months and I’m still submitting manual readings and the IHD has been shoved in a cupboard because it’s not displaying anything useful.
Would someone be able to assist / look into the previous case?
I see you’ve been informed that the smart metering team currently have a large backlog but it’s always worthwhile getting the opinion of @theunknowntech on smart meter issues.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Hey, @gingerrossy when you got in touch with the customer service, did they try to get the billing calendar sorted and try to reconnect ? It seems that it hasn't been updated yet.
I don’t think they did, or they never told me that they would try that. The last response I have from them was in April to say it had been escalated to the smart metering team. I’ve not heard anything else since :(
Any help to get this resolved would be much appreciated!
