I had SMETS2 meters for gas and electric installed late 2019 but the installer never connected the gas meter to the Han. I was with Bulb energy at the time and went back and forth with them for months trying to get someone out to sort it but it never happened so I moved to Eon
Now that I've moved to Eon, I've not pushed the matter much but I did mention it on a support call and they said they'd 'log a ticket' but not had anything after that
I've emailed again but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this sort of issue and if there was anything I could do to resolve it?
My electricity meter submits readings fine but the gas has never been connected
Getting that gas meter commissioned is likely to require an engineer visit and has to be done locally. I'll see if @PeterT_EONNext can try a few things, but I can already guess what'll happen.

Thanks for coming back to me! I figured a site visit would be the case, the guy that fitted the meter spent a good few hours fitting them and seemed a bit frustrated...then left and said 'someone will be back tomorrow' and that was the last we ever saw of anyone from Bulb. Was also told my IHD would just start working by itself...but never did so I was left with 1 smart meter, 1 dumb smart meter and a non functioning IHD
After about 30 emails back and forth I left and came to Eon. I was just told they were trying a reset on the system over and over, then told that until a firmware update is released they can't do anything...although they're brand new meters.
Out of interest, what is it that you guess happened? I got the feeling the guy was allocated a certain amount of time to do the job and that had run out so he just left?
Probably. But with the new Dual-Band Comms Hubs out there and Dual-Band enabled SMETS2 Gas Meters, the chances of a successful install have recently increased with certain suppliers.
Quick update on this... I emailed Eon on Thursday, they replied yesterday, Engineer arrived this morning and swapped the gas meter out and now everything is up and running!
Credit where it's due, absolutely amazing service from Eon! The lady in customer service was really helpful and the engineer really knew his stuff.
