Gas Smart meter not sending readings 12months+

Hi I moved into my new build in December 2020 and moved over to eon next around august 2021. During that time my electric smart meter sends reading fine. however my gas one has never sent them. I have contacted EON Next on multiple occasions since then but nothing gets done other than them saying they has passed this onto their metering team. also have been requesting An IHD but keep being told they are out of stock but will send one when they arrive back in.... 1 year later here we are nothing changed. any advice? :)

are you being billed for the gas, are you having to submit reading via the website.? I only ask because if you are not being billed then the supplier can only bill for the most recent 12 months and not for anything previously. Such opportunities seem to pass me by.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
I have been submitting readings online currently. Was gonna stop and force them to fix the issue but figured it's been to keep it correct...

@theunknowntech normally picks these up but may have missed this one.
A picture of your gas meter will probably be required so if you could upload one that may expedite things for you.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
I’m in a similar frustrating position. Smart Meter was updating my app with daily info ok up
until August 1st (since May, when we moved over to Eon) but then…nothing. Sent Eon various messages asking for it to be looked into and got similar response ….meter team alerted et etc. Then…there was an app update around 25 Aug and everything started updating again. But now, since 1st September. Nothing. I asked for an IHD in the meantime but was told that as I had a Smart Meter that wasn’t possible. It’s all very annoying… -

@BenPatt I am osrry to hear about this.
When you got in touch with the customer service have you sent them the pictures ? Beofre we sent the details to a smart metering team there are a couple of tricks withing the system that we can try.
The good news is that we have a partnership with the Evie Bud which is a universal IHD that can connect despite the type of smart meters. Although it will be important to understand what is going on with your gas meter first, otherwise the IHD won't be able to pull data anyway.
