Hello

My smart meters don't seem to be sending readings. Given the price of both gas and electricity I'd really like this to be working - especially as there is talk about usage being linked to when you're consuming.

I emailed to ask if this could be looked into and this was the response:

"At the moment our smart metering team are aware of the issues with the smart meter connectivity but sadly we do not have a timescale on the fix at the moment
We will be updating you when this changes
Please can you provide us with regular monthly manual meter readings"

Is this a general problem for e-on customers, or just my meters? What can I do to escalate this problem and get it fixed.

There are a lot of issues with older smart meters that will take a long time to resolve. Keep sending in your readings and all will be well in the longer term. I don't have smart meter and send my reading every month without fail. I don't obsess over an inhouse display that many find worse than useless in saving them energy. If you wish post pictures of your meters and we'll try to help identify what the underlying issue is.

Thank you. I don't really care about the in-house display tbh. I just want to be sure I'm getting accurate and up-to-date readings. As luck would have it it seems to have magically fixed itself and sent readings for the first time in 10 months...
