Bill error - reversed account charges

    @Emily I have a lot of reverse charges as well, so it's not a rare occurrence. My direct debit was changed twice without telling me, it was almost doubled despite the fact I was in credit.
    The it was put back to almost where it was before it shot up in the first place.
    This was at Christmas by the way.
    I also got billed twice for gas and electric over a few months as well as the reverse charges. Went from being in credit to nearly £500 in debt, then in one month near the end a lot of the reverse charges were all rushed back into my account as deposits. Basically from August until Jan my electricity and gas bills have been all over the place, they said my meter was correct as far as they are concerned but if my meter is fine....?

    Still not resolved to my satisfaction.

    I think there are two problems here ...

    - unexplained bill reversals which may go back many months
    - a lack of credible customer service complaints handling.

    I also have just received a bill showing charge reversals going back to April 2022. I managed, eventually, to work it out myself as a re-rating (downwards) of my night rate to the EPG rate for Q1 2023. PS I don't know why they had to go back so far.

    I still don't really understand the detail of the various charges and reversals, but yes, it was resolved.
