I was asked to submit meter readings on the 21 July, I submitted the meter readings on the 23 July. Todate I have not received an email/notification of a new statement. I have checked my account, and it says the following.....

A charge of £21.18 on Jul 22nd hasn't yet been applied. This transaction will be reviewed before being finalised.
Does anyone know what this is for/why? As far as I am aware my account is in credit. Look forward to received answers/what it might mean.
To put it simplily provisional charges are charges placed onto the account, (like estimates) that are waiting for the data to catch up to release a accurate bill for you. So for example, based on your previous usage we think between June 25th-29th that you will use £5. BUT we don't have the data ready yet to prove this so the charge is provisional. Unilike actual estimates, we won't actually charge this. Once we get the correct data we will be able to produce a accurate bill based on usage 😊.
They can be confusing and hard to explain but we have discussed them in a thread found 👉 hereif you need any further clarification 😊

They might be reviewing your readings. This has come up before and I think that was the explanation.
