Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere (couldn't see it) but has anyone had any issues with their monthly statement - specifically, the account balance changing to a different figure than previously stated?
My May-Jun statement showed I that I was in credit (approx. £71 - I took a screenshot at the time), but on receipt of my Jun-Jul statement (and looking back at the previous month's statement via the app), it has magically changed to state that I was approx. £15 in credit?
How is this possible? I've noticed this on more than one occasion! How can the previously report figure suddenly change? I don't want to throw out any accusations but is Eon fiddling my numbers?!!
The best way to check is, if you're using the app, under Statements select the Transactions tab. Check the charges and credits, do they match your bills and payments?
There's something of a quirk with the eon-next system whereby payments take several days to be applied to your account. My direct debit is paid on the 1st of the month but the payment doesn't appear on my account until the 4th or 5th, but once it does appear it will show as the 1st in Transactions.
I think this might be what you're seeing, the difference between billing dates and when your payments actually appear, it's not when they're actually paid.
How are you on this lovely morning? -
Over here at E.ON Next we will never play around with your billing and payments for no apparent reason; we will also not make credit vanish when it is supposed to be there so please rest assured 😊.
I think the best thing to do here is to talk to one of Energy Specialists to get to grips with billing and have the bill explained to you - to do that please click here and have a look at which option is best for you.
Take care & i hope you get the answers you are looking for - maybe post back into our community your experiences to let others know🙂.
