I was wondering if anyone can help. After my SmartView2 decided to stop working and purchased the ivie bud.
I've setup the ivie bud IHD as per the instructions but it will not activate.
I reported this fault to ivie and after doing their checks they have said they have been unable to activate the device. Saying only the provider can check the connection between my smart meter and the DCC.
The dcc sit between your meters and Eon next. Only eon Next (or other suppliers) can speak to DCC.
Are your meters sending readings OK to eon Next? If so the connection would seem to be OK.
But you device should connect directly to the smart meters themselves. Perhaps @theunknowntech can advise further
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn My old SmartView2 IHD does show usage (when it decides to work). when you reboot it does say it has successfully connected.
The smart meter wasn't sending readings up until last week. I posted on here and the excellent PeterT_EONNext managed to get the readings sent for June, as it had stopped working since May. It's due to take readings again on 22nd July.
So does the fault lie with the Ivie bud. If the old IHD can get the data from the meters even after you've had to reboot it , why can't the brand new Ivie bud? Perhaps its faulty?
I have no idea of your technical competence and have absolutely have no wish to offend, but can somebody else try connecting the Ivie bud, just in case you're missing something?
@PeterT_EONNext would be best placed for this. He has tools that I can't access.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@prodigy I have the same problem. I unplugged the (brand new) Bud and placed it closer to the meter (it was only a couple of metres away before) but now it insists that I have to go to the QR code website to start setting it up. That website says it is already setting up - but it isn't. I just paid £50 for this thing and it has failed on day 1. Not pleased.
