I have a new IHD. (Smart View 2) I want to turn it off as I can't see the point in having it on all the time. Instructions say to press and hold power button for OFF or RESTART. However when I press and hold the off button I get a "Power Options" Menu There are 2 Options: 1) "Cancel" which takes me back to the previous screen OR 2) "Restart" which just reboots the thing, can anybody help? I have tried phoning Eon, but just got passed around between different people none of who had any real suggestions. Thanks

@stu888
turn it off at the mains plug. They are a completely pointless bit of kit.
Every appliance will use energy. Some more than others. Using the off switch when you are not actually using / watching is all that is necessary.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. There's a stupid bug with the IHDL SmartView 2 that makes it impossible to shut down properly I'm afraid. Blame a lack of QA by the manufacturer!Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...
