Doh, I hadn't thought of that @meldrewreborn. Good call, that man.
Or I could use the excess to de-ice the outdoor thunderbox on a cold winter morning, now I come to think about it. Nothing worse than busting to go when it's minus five and you can't pry the seat up.

We like to sit in the kitchen for a drink and a chat before dinner and when whatever in the oven has cooked we switch it off and open the door to warm up the kitchen for a few minutes whilst the food still stays warm. Every little helps 🙂
We do the same thing with our oven, as did my Granny over fifty years ago. The old ways are usually the best.
That said, my parents bought Granny a new Russell Hobbs stainless steel electric kettle one Christmas, back in the 70s. When she went out to the kitchen to make a cuppa, she filled it with water and put it on the gas hob.
I remember a story of a user complaining that the computer clock was running slow but using the key to wind it up hadn't worked.
And the person lost in a helicopter over California who got lost, but approached a tall building , saw somebody inside and scribbled a message on some card "where am I?".
The answer on another card was "you're in a helicopter". The pilot then flew off to the airport.
Asked afterwards how he had solved his issue, he said it must have been the Microsoft building because the answer given, while, correct, was also otherwise useless!!😁😂🤣
