Got smart meters fitted on Wednesday and the IHD (SmartView2) works fine with the electricity meter, however the readings it gets from the gas meter are ridiculously high. It basically multiplies them by 1,000. Right now the reading on my meter is 00000.696 and the IHD interprets it as 00696.00. Result: it's showing me as using hundreds of pounds of gas on a daily basis and is of no use whatsoever.
So that I can check a couple of things, please can you send two other pictures? I'll just need to see a picture of the gas meter's yellow sticker detailing the meter exchange, and also a meter reading from the meter.
On your gas meter, to get the reading you'll need to press down the right hand button and keep it held down until the reading shows ending m3 (can be up to 15 seconds)
Thanks!
Pete ๐

The photos seem difficult to read somehow. But I've extracted the details using GIMP.

Our metering team have been remotely issuing some updates to get the meters to communicate as they should, as well as looking into your IHD issue - I've been advised we need to wait a couple of weeks to see if this changes anything after everything should have completed. I've set a reminder to check your account on Saturday 23rd July and will send you an update here once I know more.
@aaeh782 Just a quick update - a couple of updates I've sent out today appear to have gone through successfully, so please let me know if this updates anything on your in home display tomorrow.
@PeterT_EONNext I'm having the same problem! The meter was installed on Friday and I'm being charged 1000x more than I should for gas. The meter also isn't submitting readings. Not sure if I'm in a mobile blackspot or not. The installation guy was having bother when he put them in. Wishing I'd never got them installed
I'm sorry to hear that you're also seeing this issue with the gas usage showing far too much than what is being used.
I can see that our Smart Metering Team has sent out some updates after the installation of your meters, so this issue should be resolved on your in home display within the next few days.
We're due to take your meter readings on 10th August, so you won't see any Smart readings on your account just yet - we'll then continue to receive your readings on the 10th of each month.
Please let me know by Friday if the in home display is still showing the information like this so I can get this escalated with our Smart Metering Team.
