Ok so M Lewis said top up as much as you can, so have skinted myself to now be told e on won't honour this, some are saying they will, any ideas anyone?
It's probably worth remembering that the new tariff rates strictly speaking apply from 1st April 2022, regardless of what payment method you use or when you last topped up a prepayment meter. I strongly recommend assuming that this trick WILL NOT WORK at this point regardless of who you're with, because suppliers have wised up to it over the years and will be sure to collect the debts that build up as a result. Frankly, it's yet more evidence of why you shouldn't just listen to what one person like Martin Lewis says, when they're too thinly spread across far too many things. He's a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
I tend to focus my knowledge on just a few things instead, which I find helps me out a lot more. If you've already done a bumper top up, feel free to use it up anyway since you've got it on the meter now, but don't be surprised if your meters start collecting debt recovery next month.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...
