I am also experiencing this same problem. Updated to new tariff and smart meter still showing old tariff and old daily standing charge. Could i please be added to the list?
@theunknowntech hi, I am having the exact same problem. Changed tariff and smat metre is still showing old tariff information and wrong prices. Would you be able to update my metre please?
I'm afraid I can't update the tariff myself. If you chat with customer service and let them know theunknowntech recommends sending the SMETS Command Update Tariff Configuration they should be able to fix this within 48 hours.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I have the same issue. First of all the daily staanding charge is built into the meter readings as per meter manual and confirmation from EoN.I have also checked that the tarriffs in the meter are as per my contract with EoN. Consequently at the end of each month I expected that the uplift from the meter readings would be the 5 percent VAT only. Unfortuneately the uplifts in my bill were 28% on the Electricity meter reading and 18% on the Gas meter readings. I then checked my bill and it appears to me that they have added the standing charges on top of the meter readings which as stated already incudes the standing charges. I am awaiting a response from EoN to justify the increases from the end of month meter readings.
Firstly you mention Eon and not Eon Next so make sure which supplier you are with as they are different. This is the Eon Next forum.
Can you tell us what tariff you are on please? If Next Flex then the unit rates went up on 1st October. Smart Meter IHDs are not always updating automatically so some customers need to request an update from customer service.
Bills are generated from the actual energy usage and current tariff rates are applied to the number of units used. The rates shown on your IHD may not be current. Daily standing charges are then applied and finally VAT at 5% to get the total bill.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Thanks for the explanation , but surely tariff updates should be applied to all smart meters automatically by the company ?
Unless that is done , folk will get themselves into even more of a muddle.
My meter has only been in use for 5 weeks to kick in at the end of a fixed tariff term.I was assured by the installer that the screen readings would be accurate and in synch with the actual charges.
Just spent an hour trying to work out why that is not so. Thankfully I came across this post .
Could I ask that my meter is also synchronised with updated tariff /daily charges please.
I confirm that the email address used to register is that held by the company.
Many thanks.
TM
Still no further on 5 months later. Still no IHD which , I understand is a legal requirement for consumers on smart meters..
I have also asked the help desk , who came to the conclusion the IHD needed to be re-synched by an engineer....but still no further on.
Is it not possible to simply send out a new display unit to replace the existing one , which is not fit for purpose ?
