I'm sorry that you feel our website is hiding something from you, I can assure you that this isn't the case.
When you're in a fixed tariff, you won't be able to use the quoting tool as you've signed up to a fixed contract. As we have no exit fees, you can change your tariff during your contract, however, you won't be able to do this on your online account so it's best to call us, email us or get in touch on social media so an Energy Specialist can provide you with a quote.
It's not a great time for energy tariffs currently - due to the rising costs in the wholesale prices of gas, this currently means that in general, the variable tariff across all suppliers is cheaper than any fixed option that we can offer, this has also resulted in lots of energy suppliers ceasing taking on new customers (ourselves included)
You can switch your tariff on your online account at any time if you're on our variable tariff, the Next Flex, or if your current fix is within 49 days of coming to an end, you'll then be presented with the quoting tool also. We've never actually had the feature to always go through a quote on your online account and you can only do so if the previous 2 points apply, so I believe one of these may have applied at the time you're referring to seeing the ability to go through a quote on your online account.
