Following recent tariff change, I noticed at the weekend that my £ for the day on my smart meter weren't even the new daily standing charge. Checked the tariff on the meter and it shows one with an end date in 2021.
Messaged E.On who said to try a reset by switching off for an hour, didn't work, now told "Unfortunately we cannot communicate with your meter. Your meter will eventually be enrolled in the DCC, but this may take up to 2025 to be actioned".
What is DCC and how do I get my smartmeter to show correct info?
DCC or Data Communications Company is the smart meter network being used to connect all smart meters with suppliers. Every SMETS2 meter is already on this network, with SMETS1 meters being slowly migrated to it over time. You can use this tool to check the status of your meters. If they've not been migrated yet, it may not be possible to update the tariff rates.
Please could you check your meters using that tool and tell me the status?
