I get the feeling that your IHDL SmartView 2 is never going to pair reliably at all I'm afraid. I can try to help you diagnose possible issues, but I think I already know where this is going.
Would you be OK to show me photos of everything please? Once I know what you've got, I can recommend options from there.

Thanks for the photos @SheevaMTimbres! As you requested, I'll keep them private. However, I can confirm you have an IHDL SmartView 2 IHD, WNC SKU1 Cellular Comms Hub and SMETS2 EDMI meters (ES-10B for electric and GS-60B for gas).
Based on your images, I doubt the SmartView 2 will ever function at all. If it hasn't paired yet, it probably never will and it's not even worth attempting a remote pair tbh. You'll inevitably end up with even more problems anyway. However, I do have options for you, if you don't mind spending a bit of cash. I have two alternative IHDs that I can recommend, so feel free to choose either one:
ivie Bud by Chameleon Technology: https://ivie.co.uk - with future plans to have it integrate with Samsung SmartThings and services like USwitch. It's based off the Chameleon IHD6 and the enhanced version the Chameleon IHD7, which is a really good IHD by itself. It costs about £50 plus delivery
Hildebrand Glow by Hildebrand: https://shop.glowmarkt.com/products/...eter-customers - with the ability to integrate into Home Assistant, it's been a pretty popular choice for the ability to do things with it that you can't often do otherwise. It costs about £70 plus delivery, make sure to get the SMETS2 version!
Both should work fine and can be self-paired without involving E.On. They also won't interfere with that SV2 in case you still wanted to try and get that working as well (it probably won't anyway) and as you can have up to four IHDs active at once, there's nothing to prevent you having both of these options. They've also got a pretty sweet refund policy - if they can't get their devices to work at all, both Chameleon and Hildebrand will happily take the devices back and issue a full refund.
I used to have the IHDL SmartView 2 back in the day, in the form of the SSE Smart Energy Tracker. Even back then, it was a rubbish IHD that never worked properly and I much prefer the Chameleon IHD6 that OVO gave me. Normally, I would try to help fix an issue over replacing a device... But with your SV2 already off to a terrible start, it just isn't worth the hassle.
