OK, so pre April EON were paying 5.5p per unit for seg and selling on that unit for upwards of 15p per unit depending on tariff. A healthy profit. Since April still paying 5.5p but selling on for at least 37p a unit. Extortionate one might think? Hey EON how about doubling the seg payment now that you have at least doubled our prices and the standing charges?
Actually, profit margins for energy suppliers are razor thin at the best of times, and that's without being squeezed dry by half their customers moving to loss making variable rate tariffs.
Doubling SEG now would just make that worse.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

Doubling seg would still give the power company a huge profit when they sell on. Not sure why you think we should bail out these massive companies that have been fleecing their customers for years. 🙄

😆 I am moving to a variable tariff next month. 53p per kWh for electricity
E.on will only pay me 3p per kWh for the energy i produce
Last year I got paid £211 for the energy I produced. At 3p per kWh, this would mean my solar panels put 7000kWh of electricity into the grid
I use 1800kWh of electricity yearly. E.on have quoted me over £1000
I would suggest your source of information has not yet updated then.
the source of my information is my online e.on account.
It tells me what I was on and what I will be moving to.
So e.on themselves are providing me with the wrong information. I have Contacted e.on on to ask them if this is the correct information but they simply do not respond. No response via email, WhatsApp or Facebook messenger.
Either way, 34p per kWh of electricity verses the 3p they think i deserve for my energy is still a total disgrace.
When I had my solar panels fitted I was paying about 15p per kWh and getting paid 3p per kWh for what I produced.
If you are correct and i will be paying 34p per kWh, then i would still expect to be paid, at the very least, 7p per kWh for what I produce. Is this not fair?
