I Have Emailed yourself a number of times with regards to moving my gas meter.
My gas meter is on the wall at the very bottom of our outside shed I am registered disabled and also my wife I have had a stroke that's has effectively stopped myself from walking and bending down the gas meter I can nkt bend to top up I have to ask a neighbour to help myself this is not good especially for a disabled person who is 81 years old and vulnerable.
This is the third email over the past 2 months and also I have had my son call you a number of times.
My gas meter needs to be moved to a higher level like the electricity one is?
The electricity meter is fine as its high so I do t have to bend down but the gas meter I have used my card to top up and then been stuck in the shed on my kness unable to get myself back up without help from my family.
Please can you email myself or phone myself on to get this meter replaced or lifted higher as its a danger to my health.
@Oldcodger I'm really sorry that this is the case.
I wondered if you had a smart meter installed?
Hi I had a email of Eon
Saying that it will be a price we have to pay of £150.00
I replyed with the ofgem rules in place with regard to people on the priority services and that pre payments meters can be moved free of charge if you are on the service or registered disabled.
I attached the pictures of were the gas meter was and got a reply back stating thst she was happy to waive the charges as she can see how much it of the floor 1cm so I need to phone up to make a appointment but unfortunately can not get though at present m
So thanks to a great Eon specialist
It's being moved higher for free
Thank you everybody for your comments and thanks Eon
Its like a stop valve (the site will not allow me to use the name of a male chicken - stupid!). You can see it in the lower left of your picture - just below the corrugated piping leading to the meter. In an emergency the gas might need to be cut off. Hence you want it somewhere more accessible!

Reason: clarity

Haha, I think I might need to get an exemption from that filter myself actually, especially if it starts blocking my content. There's actually a technical term for exactly what that flaw is, but unfortunately... The very name of it is also likely to get blocked by the very same filter that it refers to. XD
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...
