Smart gas meter has never communicated to IHD

@theunknowntech I've triple checked with the Smart team and unfortunately our IHDs cannot be synced with different types of meter to the ones we fit. It's not helpful or sustainable at all.

In that case, the only possible IHDs that can be attempted would be the ivie Bud or Hildebrand Glow. It's not even worth trying to pair an IHDL SmartView 2...Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

HI @theunknowntech and @Beki_EONNext, sorry for delay in replying - we came over 3rd Sept 2020... Brand new house, new install, gas meter never communicated with IHD but electric did... Thanks

@Salvador I understand this is quite an old thread, but I just wanted to check if you were able to have your smart metering issues resolved? Hi Helena, yes, Eon got in touch and arranged for an engineer to call 6th Dec 2023, and resolved the issue... gas readings started sending 7th Dec 2023. So, account started sep 2020, comms throughout 2021, 2022, 2023 until resolution Dec 2023. Good service in the end from the final person and the engineer, but a long wait and a lot of chasers needed. Cheers! -
@Salvador Thank you for the update! I'm sorry to hear the wait time in having your issues resolved but I am glad you had a good experience in the end and the meter was connected! I hope that we are able to improve on this in future 🙂
