I have a Secure Liberty 100 (Serial number starting 14P) from around 2015/2016.

Eonnext email support don't seem to be able to confirm this meter will work with Solar PV.

My concern is only that export from the panels will not be registered as usage from the grid, I don't want to install PV and be charged for the power it generates.

If I press button 9, the meter does have a separate section for Import and Export, so it would seem possible for it to differentiate between import and export.

Does anyone know if this will work correctly with solar PV?

As an aside, this meter has been connected to the network, according to citizens advice checker.

Hi @NeilSc ,

You don't need to worry. Smart Meters are not required for SEG purposes and you can use an Export Meter for this purpose as an alternative - which would be supplied by your SEG Licensee if one is needed.

Feel free to go ahead with the install, the process will deal with metering for you. :)

Thanks for the reply, I managed to make contact with a gent on another forum who is running a Smart Liberty 100 of the 2014/15 era with solar PV and confirmed it had no issue distinguishing import from export so that was reassuring.
