Firstly it’s your credit balance so you’re entitled to it back.
Secondly, there are two types of DD account… fixed and variable. If you request to be moved to variable your monthly DD will match your bill. You will also get the DD discount. You need to speak to customer service.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
When the rates go up, they will again review your monthly DD. As happens to everyone. Only in April when they do go up, you will also lose the £67 handout from the government so that will also need to be factored in.
If, like me, you pay by DD on receipt of bill then that will necessarily increase to keep up with the increase in bills.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@Han_EONNext
I have been trying to call Eon for over 3 hours now and get to 30 mins waiting and get cut off. I resorted to the Whats app at 13:40 pm and it is now 14:15 and no reply, how can I contact a real person please as I have not received the October, November and December Vouchers.
Regards
Jules
If you have had no vouchers at all, firstly do you have conventional key/card prepay meters or are they smart meters?
If smart, you don't get vouchers. The credit is applied automatically.
If conventional, do E.On have all your correct details? Do you have the app or online account and are your details all correct?
Several cases have been flagged up where folk just top up a meter using the key or card but have never actually registered with the supplier. Often the case where you move into a rental property with existing prepay meters. I did that twenty years ago...lived in a flat with a key meter and just took the key to the post office every month and stuck a tenner on it. Didn't know I had to register with the supplier! Had I done that, they could have removed the existing £600 debt from the meter and I would have saved a fortune!
In which case an email to hi@eonnext.com with all your account details and 'No Government Vouchers' in the subject will be your first move. That way, if not sorted, you will have started a record trail with which to escalate a complaint if need be.
@Han_EONNext I have tried everything to sort out my problems with Eon Next. But getting no where. They say they don't supply my house but they do. I know this. I've continued the CEO. And got nothing back but the energy ombudsman are now investigating what is. Help long term. But I'm still left with no vouchers coming to my address where I have lived since 12/04/2022. Why can't they just fix this and issue my vouchers. I'm so unwell now with it all and I lost my job when they left me without electricity for over a week. It's outrageous but I appreciate any help at advice you can give.
@retrotecchie I have done all this so the paper trail is there. I'm getting no where and I'm now so unwell with it all I don't know how much longer I can go on. I've been emailing them for months with lots of promises to send my vouchers out. But there going to the wrong address..
why can't they just register my meter under my name then send me my vouchers. Seems like a logical step to me so I can get vouchers for my meter and my heating.
