Hi, for some reason my smartview2 meter has stopped showing anything about my electricity usage.
right now the meter only shows gas standing charge because we had our gas boiler replaced by an ASHP a month back and are waiting for EON to cap off our gas supply..
Could the two things be linked? Any thoughts as to how we might fix the issue? Appreciate any thoughts
The SmartView 2 is just an IHD like any other, it's not actually a Smart Meter by itself but it forms part of the system. You can replace it with an alternative IHD and everything should work fine because the new IHD will communicate with the meters outside your house.
Either way, I know Chameleon has a very strong refund policy with the ivie Bud. If you can't get it to work and their tech support get stumped, you'll qualify for a full refund and they can arrange one for you. I recommend keeping the original packaging too, as that'll make returns easier if it comes to it.

Unfortunately, the IHDL SmartView 2 is a bust. I can try to either:
Help you with diagnostics in the hope it can get going again
Recommend an alternative IHD that I can choose for you - but there's no commitment to get it
You're welcome to choose either option and I'm cool if you want to change your mind later. Please let me know which one you'd rather do and I'll go from there.
Thats really helpful thank you! Quick question this maybe a silly question but both units seem to indicate they connect to my Smart Meter, is this the Smartview 2 or the main unit outside?
I am just very conscious that my smartview 2 is not working anymore so I am wondering the replacements will work ok?
