Please can you help me. I am in my late 70s. My IHD has not updated to the new tariffs and my bill was a shock. I have tried phoning Eon and they don't seem to know how to to do it. They put the phone down on me on my second phone call. I understand from the forum that it is done remotely. Eon told me I do not need the tariff details as it is just in my house to show me the big user appliances. That is tosh. I just want my IHD to give me the correct usage costs. I would be really grateful if you could help me.

It's a bit of a tricky task to do but it is definitely possible. I don't have access to the systems myself as a forum volunteer, but I can definitely arrange for your IHD to get the tariff updates. Let me have a chat with @PeterT_EONNext and I'll make sure this gets queued up.
As long as nothing gets in the way, the update should be done within the next few days or so.
I will also pass your feedback onto the moderators. There is a process to do this, but perhaps not everyone in customer service is aware of it yet...Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

My hildebrand ihd stopped working on 8th May.
I've chatted to eon next on whatsapp since 9th May. They tell me the data comms team have a huge backlog.
Idk why eon next revoked access to my ihd? I've given them install code and eui today after realising they probably need that.
Government pairing guide suggests that end users should be able to do their own pairing via a web portal, why dont eon next do this if they dont have the staff to do this for us in a timely manner? -

Where did you get your Hildebrand Glow from? There's several different solutions here and I need to know where you got the device from so that I can recommend the right one. -
Hi @theunknowntech I was with who supplied Hildebrand Glow IHD with the smart meters. They went out of business and I was moved to Eon Next. It worked fine through the transition last year, mostly, there was an issue getting gas reading in January, Eon Next said the increased polling rate to fix that. It stopped working on 8th May Sunday early in the evening. When I power on IHD it briefly say "finding smart meter" then "connecting smart meter" it never connects.
I am using the MQTT feed from Hildebrand in Home Assistant. So I would definitely like to keep this solution.Last edited by Lee_EONNext; 18-07-23 at 16:40. Reason: Removed energy supplier

I went through setup procedure in Hildebrand Bright app this morning via a chat bot. Provided EUID, MPRN. Copy of bill. They say up to two business days to complete. Hopefully I did right thing here. This was how I was expecting to do pairing again, except I assumed it had to be done from Eon Next end.

Gotcha, if that pairing process fails, feel free to have a chat with Hildebrand via support@glowmarkt.com . They've got DCC Other User rights and can attempt to force-pair your Glow IHD to your meters. This capability is unique to certain IHDs only like the Hildebrand Glow and can't be done for most others.

@theunknowntech Thats very helpful. Hildebrand have been super responsive so far. I wish I knew that they could do this a few weeks ago. I would be interested to know why it got unpaired in the first place, something that Eon Next did? Maybe they pushed out configs that broke it

No idea I'm afraid. It's impossible for me to access that kind of thing.
Hildebrand have been great with me and my friend Blastoise186. One of their support team actually contributed a LOT to the guides that we've both built for this forum and another one and we appreciated their help. If they can't force-pair your IHD again themselves, they'll be able to ask DCC to give it a go via magic dashboards.
