Having applied for the warm home discount
I had the message that my application was being processed for several weeks on my account home page
this message has now disappeared but i havent recieved any confirmation if I have been successful
anyone else had this problem ?
It looks like your application was approved a couple of days ago - you should receive your voucher by no later than 31st March.

@Eggycone apparently I was approved and should have had a letter Dec 2021.. then I've had a reissue of said letter to go collect WHD on pre payment key on 8th Feb... still nothing.. don't hold your breath they're waiting until last minute then everyone will use their WHD on the higher price due to come in in April.. plus think of all that interest they're earning whilst the money that was allocated last year is sitting in their account.. othe energy providers already issued their customers last Oct,Nov,Dec and Jan.. I have checked.. eon next is definatly just npower under a new name.. :(

I'm sorry to see that people were experiencing issues their WHD in previous years ๐

the system for the warm home discount changed a while back as did the criteria, which excluded some previously eligible customers( primarily the disabled) but considerably expanded the scope to more people on low income grounds. The process of selecting those eligible is now fully automated and there is no application process. But some people who think they were eligible have missed out in the past.
Best advice I can give is for people to do their own research and appeal through the designated help lines, search warm home discount gov.uk
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but Iโll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn Thank you for the extra information! Last year we saw customers would receive the discount automatically if they were eligible (without the need to apply) unless they are in Scotland and in the "Broader Group". The Gov website advised is a good place for finding further information on the WHD and checking eligibility when the Warm Home Discount re-opens ๐
