I'm sure this is a question that gets asked a lot so I'm sorry if I am covering old ground but would someone mind telling me what the night time hours are for a contract with day/night rates please? I have had a single rate contract for a number of years so there is no info on my previous bills and have just switched to dual rate so it would be helpful to know. It says on the smart meter bumf that I got years ago that the information should be available with each contract but frankly after much much searching I can't find it written anywhere.
Could I ask you what part of the country you're in please? Region and County is plenty for me - but I don't need City/Town/Village/Hamlet/Street/Postcode or anything like that. I've got a lookup table I can then use to get the details you're after.
Thanks

No worries. In that case, I've traced your region to Eastern England with the DNO UK Power Networks, with the MPAN Area ID 10. Does that sound about right?
If so, your E7 times are as follows:
Peak (Day): 7am to midnight
Off-Peak: midnight to 7am
Total Off-Peak Hours in any 24 hour period: 7
Special variations: None found on this MPAN Area ID
Hi @theunknowntech - could I piggy back on this thread to ask the same question please? I live in East Riding of Yorkshire (Driffield if it needs narrowing down further!) and would also love to know the same!
Your wish is my command O Master of the lamp.
@Wayside2305 as you command, I obey. XD
I have got your MPAN Area ID down as being 23, with a DNO of Northern Power Grid. Based on this, I think you get 7 hours of Off-Peak per day between the standard midnight to 7am range and the rest is Peak from 7am to midnight. I'm not seeing any special variations either. If anyone else would like their fortunes told, my crystal ball awaits. :)
