Based on my understanding of the rules, you'll need to source a new meter box yourself. Places like DIY Stores and builders yards often have them and you can pick them up pretty cheaply. Expect to pay no more than £60 as the absolute max budget for one to cover a gas meter, assuming you don't have a semi-concealed gas meter. Any more than that and you're probably getting ripped off. Once you've got it, you can then contact your local Gas Transporter to have an engineer come out and swap the broken meter box over with your new one.
