As I stated in my original message
Then you'd be eligible for a standing charge removal.
It sounds like the Digital Energy Specialist has looked over your account, seen that you're on a fixed rate tariff and this would mean we can't remove the standing charges.
The reason for this is because switching to a fixed rate tariff means you've agreed a contract as opposed to being on the deemed variable rate from the start of the account. When agreeing a fixed rate, you agree to pay for the units used as well as the standing charges associated with the tariff and we can't then remove the standing charges.
If you're not on a fixed tariff and you haven't used any energy since your account started with us, then you can have the standing charge removed.
