Hello
My Smart meter hasn't sent any gas readings since 1 December 2021. Can someone in the co mmunity or on the E-on team help with this, please. Electricity readings are getting through just fine.

Uh oh, that sounds like the pesky read schedule monster has struck again. The first thing I'll try is to ask @DebF_EONNext to stop by. She has the ability to reset the read schedule if it's gone wrong. If that doesn't work, I'll be happy to try a few diagnostics.

Good morning :)
I have a similar issue.
When my account was with E-on all readings were automatic via the smart meter (2nd generation, ie able to be read by subsequent providers, I was told at the time of installation).
Since being encouraged to go across to E-on Next, suddenly the smart meter can't be read, at all.
I'd be so grateful for some help.

@Jaykay hey I hope you're well 😊, I've set your billing / reading schedule up so it matches your electric so fingers crossed it should all match up next month.
@SarahMF it looks like your account is still in the migration process & we're still waiting on some details updating. If your still having issues after 12 weeks from your supply start date pop over to our social media pages and send us a message and the team will get it sorted for you 😊

I have similar problems with gas meter. Smart meter says it’s disconnected. Reported numerous times to EoN and nothing being done to fix this. Bills only show electricity readings. How TDI I get this sorted !

Same here - all was working fine since smart meters installed and both gas and electric meter readings being taken monthly. Was moved to E-on Next 17th Dec (date of welcome email) and no readings taken for gas since. Last reading was 12th Dec. My smartview2 handset only shows electricity now. Can someone advise how best to fix this.

I've managed to poll a reading on your gas and electric today so it seems like your smart meter communications are back up and running - Deb 🌻

Hi @Staceydyson

It looks like we're receiving both your gas and electricity readings from your Smart Meters. Are you not able to see the gas on your in home display?

If not, please reset your device which should pick up the gas usage after a reset. Here's some instructions on how to do this:

1. Hold the on/off button to turn the power off and let go when the screen says Goodbye/goes blank. (the on/off button will either be the only button on the back of the monitor if it's a Chameleon IHD or an OK button on the front if its a Smart View IHD)


2. Unplug the IHD and stand in front of the Electricity smart meter (do not plug it in as the battery lasts up to 1 hour) then hold the same on/off button but let go as soon as you see the screen coming back to life (hold for too long and it will switch off again)


3. Wait until it looks like it's fully reset or leave the IHD by the meter for up to 10 mins.


4. You can then return the IHD to where you had it and plug it in. (the Bluetooth type signal can reach up to 10 metres but thick walls reduce the distance)
