I was away from home last week and so turned off nearly everything in the flat before I went. Upon my return today I saw that my usage, according the IHD, for 6 of the 7 days I was gone hovered at around 2kWh and a cost was about 67p/day. This is what I would expect to see as the fridge and a few other essentials were still running. However, one of the days I was away has racked up a massive 564kWh (so a consumption equivalent to 23.5kW for the entire day!) and an estimated charge of a massive £523. For one day.
I checked the reading on the meter and from the change since my last reading last month the IHD information is very obviously wrong (my monthly delta is actually below my average) but it is a very annoying and quite scary thing to see on the IHD.
Has anyone else seen something similar with an IHD before? Is there any way to correct the obviously erroneous data? The 'Weekly budget exceeded' message on the IHD is very annoying.
I'm theunknowntech, one of the forum volunteers around here. To help me figure this out I need to know what IHD you have. Please could you post photos of both your IHD and the meters in your next reply and I'll see what I can do from there.
Thanks!
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

That doesn't seem to tell me very much I'm afraid but I think you've got a Chameleon IHD3. I find it unlikely that your IHD is paired properly somehow, please could you show me some photos of the display when it's active?
I'm so sorry to hear about the issues you experienced previously 😥
I know it's been a while but we'd love to hear more from you!
You're welcome to share how your experience went and if you did get this sorted. I'm sure it could also help other members who might be experiencing the same issue.
Hope to hear from you soon 🤗
