Hi, Yesterday I too was looking at the Next Online v10 Tarriff. I went back in this afternoon to sign up to it only to find it is no longer available.
Extremely disappointed.
@TullTheMan Very strange, wonder why. Because I have now signed up to this tariff, when I look at the options I could take now, even the variable option I was on has disappeared. E.on may be concocting better tariffs or....! It's all a gamble, I may or may not gain from it. I simply put down the standard charges x 365 days, then added my assumed yearly kwh usage (both gas and elec) x the tariffs for a year. Tried many energy providers this way. Hope you fare well whatever you decide!

Yep, and the latest from Martin Lewis, is that there are no worthwhile fixed deals worth signing up to; so we are all victims of circumstance; nothing more, nothing less, and should we be grateful for a £150 council tax rebate this April followed by the £200 levy/so called loan in October 2022 I wonder⁉
The V9 for me quoted £230 per month, then the day after the cap increase was announced the V10 came out at £243 … I don’t believe than EonNext weren’t aware of what the cap increase was going to be, so to be honest I feel I’m being fleeced. I’ll wait it out on the flexi tariff until April and see what competitors are offering.
Well. I cannot believe it. After trying 6 times in my account on 12/02/22 to see the Online v10 Fixed option, extremely late last night on 13/02/22, I went in to give my end of tariff meter readings. Instead of doing that the first thing I saw on the screen was an option to take the Fixed Online v10 tariff. So, I accepted this offer as the Variable will increase to £4 below the fixed contract in April & then rise again in October if not before. At least I've secured at the same rate as April, give or take, until Feb 2023.. There was also still the 24 month option but the cost of that one was over the top for me. Cheers everyone.

Reason: doubled up, didn't quite make sense
@TullTheMan Didn't I read that if you sign up for the quoted fixed deal and pay by direct debit then E.On are offering a discount off the quoted price ? Has anyone seen this in their quotes/applications and if so how much is it ?
From what I've heard, the discount is automatically applied to both the daily standing charges and unit rates, and is already factored into the rates displayed in the quote. If you were to run the quote again with both direct debit and pay on demand options, you should see a difference. I can't tell you how much it is though as it varies depending on multiple factors.

I believe you are write, my tariff costs came through identically as originally shown. Bit misleading to say the least. Might be better stating ' if you do not pay by direct debit there will be an additional charge to the rates shown.
Martin Lewis on ITV has done a show on energy prices. Basically there is no assurance that fixing now will be beneficial for most customers. He explains it much better than me so my advice is check out the ITV hub and watch for explanation for yourself. There is no certainty about all this at the moment.
There are also stories that Ofgem are looking to revise the variable price cap that most of us are now on every three months rather than every 6 months.
My bills for 2021 came to £841 on competitive fixed price deals. At the April 2022 price capped rates my bills will be £2400 for the same consumption. There's pain for all in this,
I can get the fixed cap at 96 per month, which seems a good deal, but am put off by the fact that when i select it, it changes to 104 per month until December 2022, then it will become 96 per month????
