Hi hope someone can help - had a Smart meter installed August 2021. Night and day readings are being reversed. Prior to August we always used more electricity at night - now meter showing more usage in daytime. We haven't changed anything - still use washing machine and dishwasher during off peak times via time delay programming. How do I get this sorted? Is there a problem with the programming- can't always get to the meter readings via the grey buttons. Following the guidance I was sent but the button sequence doesn't always work!!
Also the IHD won't let me set a budget and has message Waiting for CIN.
On line chat no use - seems like they are following a set script.
Thanks
I can probably help you with working out the manual readings. If you could post photos of your meters, I can definitely grab the instructions you need - and this time they'll be the ones that will work for you. :)
If you can also show me photos of your IHD, I'll try to guide you through that as well. I'm an independent forum volunteer so I can assure you that there'll be absolutely no use of scripts from me, just pure experience and advice that'll be exactly what you're after.
As for the reading issues? I'm afraid I can't fix those myself, but I'll call in a glamourous assistant in the form of @PeterT_EONNext for that. He's got access to the systems and can hopefully dig deeper for you. If needed, the readings submitted to date can in theory be flipped around again to correct them.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your meter and readings.
When you can, please take two sets of meter readings when you're at home and using your appliances, one set around 12pm and another set of readings around 4pm. When you've done this, please come back to us here with them so I can take a look.
Ah yes, a fairly simple setup then. That IHD appears to be a Chameleon IHD3-CAD-PPMID by the looks of things. You can ignore the Waiting for CIN message, it's never really used all that often anyway. As for the budget, that's not too tricky to do, but it's more complicated than on an IHD6. It's probably easier for me to link to an existing guide I found, rather than try to rephrase it myself.
As for the meter, it should just auto-scroll but I'll do some more digging to make sure.
