Update tariff on npower smart meter

How do you update the tariff on smart meters? Just spotted mines 7 months out of date which is why my bills are always so much higher then I expect.

Good question that one. :)
And the answer is via some magic tricks of the great wizard theunknowntech you see before you. I'll wave my magic wand a few times, say some mumbo jumbo, set off a huge puff of smoke and fancy lighting to create effect and excitement in the audience. And then while I distract you, @DebF_EONNext will probably sneak in and issue the Update Tariff Configuration SMETS Command in the background. XD

Hey @MichaelB I've taken a look at your account for you. Could I get you to check the lights on your communication hub for me & get back to me with what lights are showing as it looks like your smart meter isn't communicating at the min so needs manual readings. As it's one of the older generation meters we have to contact the DCC to get it enrolled to start sending readings again. I want to see if I can get this sorted for you but need to know what lights are showing 1st. I'm not making any promises we will get the communications back but it's worth a go 🤞
Also please don't worry that your IHD is showing the wrong tariff you won't be charged based on what's showing on the IHD, you'll be charged based on the tariff info we have on your account. You can double check your tariff information & what your unit prices are on your most recent bills or your online account. Once your smart meter is enrolled we should be able to update your IHD for you so it shows the correct data too 😊

@MichaelB Thanks for that 😊 i've sent this off to smart metering to contact the DCC fingers crossed we can get this going again for you. As I said before i'm not promising we will be able to get the comms back but it's worth a go 🤞
