Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
It's now the 7th October and it's still unclear exactly what I will be paying or if it's possible for me to switch from a fixed to variable or it would even be beneficial?
I believe you have a month grace period where you can switch?
No exit fee or notice period with E.On Next. But if you quote your region and the prices both units and standing charges, either VAT ex or VAT inc (but not a mixture) for you fix as originally contracted we'll be able to advise you.
I'm confused too. They changed the unit rate on my fixed tariff, but it's still above the EPG levels and no one from eon is replying to say if this is correct or not :(
@BLD
again if you quote your region and original rates we can better advise you. Customers are being switched to the flex tariff if their reduced fix is still above the EPG level.
@meldrewreborn I'm in the South East so believed I should be paying unit rates of 10.3p per kWh for gas and 35.31p per kWh for electricity but my V19 rates are still showing higher.
Hey @BLD are you still having issues with your tariff? As @meldrewreborn has mentioned if the prices showing are on your in home display wrong we would suggest you check your online account to see if they match? If your Online account is correct and your IHD is wrong it may be that your IHD needs a tariff update 😊
If you have done this and are still having issues I would recommend reaching out to our energy specialists for some support with this.
We did have an issue while our systems were updating with the Price cap prices showing instead of the Energy Price Guarantee rates but we have been working on this in the background and accounts are now showing the correct information.

Hi Deb, yes both the IHD and online account are showing unit rates higher than the EPG level. Our meter also hasn't been sending readings automatically since about April time. I've been trying to get in touch with your energy specialist team via email and Twitter but nothing has happened.
