Nope. But please don't rely on the national average price cap. There's one for each area of the country and your tariff rate (assuming you're on a variable or prepayment tariff) will always be within the price cap for your area.

The price cap applies for an average level of consumption. If you use more than the average then you will pay more - if you use less then you pay less.
So the answer to your question is yes - if you use more than the average or if you do not pay by direct debit or if you are not on a variable rate tariff.
Im really worried about how much im going to be topping up a month now, Im on prepayment meters. If it goes to 200 a month there's no way I can pay that.
You need to do a complete audit of your consumption and eliminate everything that isn't essential. Prices are not going down in the short term. At least as we move into the summer months you will not be paying for so much heating, so there is a limited window in which you can identify how to reduce your consumption.
Also make sure you have applied for any benefits/ allowances/ credits you can.
Are you sure you are been corporately responsible considering your industry made over a billion pounds profit before the price rise? Instead of bumper dividend payments perhaps turn down the profit margin and help your clients?
As one of the poor people ripped off by IGLOO or IGPOO who dumped everyone at the first sign of minimal profits, they stopped me fixing any deals whatsoever so now I'm at the mercy of the six, who made a billion pounds!!
Your absolutely correct, just focusing on my own electricity recently I’ve gone from 88 kWh per week to 49 kWh per week. I replaced the dusk til dawn lights front & back and I switch everything off when not using it, ie 3 sky box,s 3 TVs, lights etc.

I`ve used 33 kWh in 12 days just by making basic things like not turning on the tv in the mornings or if i go out it doesn`t go on till late afternoon. filling the kettle by just enough to make a single hot drink, and using the smaller hobs on the cooker, i have also purchased a portable oven that does the same job but uses far less electricity.
Eon are trying to change my DD from £113 to £232 a month. They have just changed my smart meter because apparantly its faulty how do i know that the readings they were taking were correct
