When I try to download the E.on Next app via Google Play I get a message to say that this version is not compatible with my device. I am using a Nokia G10 mobile with Android 11 operating system. Had no problem with my old E.on app. Anyone else having this problem?
Seems like you have a device that's missing certain basic features found in most Android devices. Having grabbed a few test devices of my own that run a mixture of Android 11 and Android 12, I'm not seeing that same issue. But those devices are mid-tier Samsung devices which might explain it. As I'm not with E.On or E.On Next myself, there's no use in me downloading the app so I didn't actually try to install it.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@PaulStollard Hey there, Beki here π
Have you updated your phone software lately? We haven't had any other android users (myself included) that have any issues downloading the app.
Let me know how you get on π
Hi @PaulStollard and @Tomhem1 - I'm going to take this away and try and get an answer for you as to why the app isn't showing as compatible on the Nokia G10. I'll let you know what I find out π΅οΈββοΈ

Hi there just moved over , but have found that the new app is not comparable with my android phone ? , The old app worked fine my phone is a Nokia and has been updated , has anyone had same problem ? Thanks in advance .
@PaulStollard
hi there I'm having same problem , my phone is also a Nokia g10 running on Android 11 system , the old app worked fine and I've updated the phone but no joy .
Okay, so I've spoken with a product analyst here and they've advised me that Android 11 is compatible with our app, but there may be some things to try in case there's some problems when trying to run the app on your Nokia G10 device.

Tried advise on link , didn't work ,in fact I couldn't see the eon next icon (purple) in the app store , I tried the link in the old eon app on my phone which redirected me to the new app but only to see the message that my phone was not suitable for the new app?
The Google Play Store is known to sometimes hide apps that are incompatible with your device. In such cases, there's nothing you can do as a user, except ask the developer for help to fix the app and release an update to make it compatible. There are also other reasons that apps might be hidden on the store as well. For example, I've actually had to sign a legally binding NDA with a particular app developer which allows me to access a secret testing version of their app on the Google Play Store. The regular version can be discovered and installed by basically anyone, but the secret version only shows up if your Google Account is authorised to find it. I could literally give you the direct link and you'll still just get the generic "Sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server" error.
Hi @Tomhem1 - thanks for trying that and getting back to me.
I've let our tech team know who are going to look into this - I might not have an update right away for you, so in the mean time, please try every other week in case an update is rolled out, as I might not be made aware of this once one is released.
