If you never manage to get your current IHD working, a Sticky post that I put up last night has some advice as to your options.

@theunknowntech thank you. Where do I find that please? I’m hoping @Beki_EONNext can get me an engineer to come reconnect it to the meter. I’m convinced it’s just disconnected somehow. It’s even since we were switched from npower to eon next this happened
@Beki_EONNext thank you I will keep that in mind if you can’t get me an engineer to attend. Ideally though I would like it reconnecting as I don’t want to be spending anymore money thanks
@Beki_EONNext hi Beki. Is there any update on the engineer as it has been a few weeks now? I have left the IHD plugged in as you advised but no change
thanks
@emmajayne91 Hey Emma, no response from them yet. I have had another look into your account and I can see that you had your meters installed back in 2019. I have a very strong feeling that they will come back to me and say that because your system is over 12 months old that this is not something we can fix for you as your meters are sending us readings and are not broken. In order to fix the IHD, it would mean ripping out perfectly working smart meters, to replace a single IHD. The IHD's are a gift at install for having a smart meter fitted and are not essential to the running of the smart meter itself.
I know this will not be the answer that you are looking for and I am happy to raise this as a complaint for you. If you would like to discuss this further, pop me a PM.
@Beki_EONNext I think I will just buy an ivie bud that @theunknowntech suggested on his thread. I did the smart meter check on the website and it says I have a compatible smart meter. I find it very bizarre how the system works. Especially with the increasing prices in electric and gas. I want to be able to see my usage to see what is costing the most. Npower came out twice to fix my IHD when it did the same thing and it just needed connecting back onto the Wi-Fi and with the smart meter
