I'm John and I'm deaf. I'm unable to use the phone to contact eon next.
A couple of weeks ago, I got a bill for an electricity meter. The issue is the meter belongs to a neighbour. On the bill, it showed a electric meter and it wasn't my elecritic meter.
I've contacted e-on next via chat. I've explained that the meter is not mine. I provided my electric meternumber and my neighbour. I also provided photos clearly showing different electric meter numbers.
The agent on chat advised me that they will correct those details. Now, I've recieved a demand to pay the bill for my neighbour's electric meter.
I've emailed eon next and sent an message to eon next on twitter. I have not got a reply yet. Despite giving details of my electric meter, I'm being charged for my neighbour's electric meter.
I'm frustrated by this and I would like some help to resolve this issue. Can you please help me out?
I'm a forum volunteer called theunknowntech. I don't work for E.On or E.On Next myself, so I can't access your account but I can give general advice that might help you out. I've already gone ahead and flagged this thread for moderator attention. Do you have the Relay UK, Minicom, Uniphone or Textphone services available to you? If so, 18001 0808 501 5200 should route your call via a Relay Assistant interpreter to make things easier.
If my understanding of the rules is correct, that bill is invalid and you should not be expected to pay for electricity measured by a meter that's not meant to be on your account. It sounds like the wrong Meter Serial Number and Meter Point Administration Number has been attached to your account somehow, which needs to be corrected urgently. Only the current supplier can do this.
I've set a tag on this thread which notifies moderators here that their assistance is needed. They might not be around today, but they'll stop by when they're free.
In the meantime, if I can help with anything else, please let me know.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@johno Heya, it's Beki here 👋
I have had a look at your account and can see you spoke to a Energy Specialist recently and that you are away at the moment.
When you are back, would you be able to pop over a picture of your meter so I can check what we have on our system and on the database.
@Beki HI Beki, thanks for replying. I've sent a DM with my Eon Next details and a picture of both my meter and my neighbours' showing different Electric meter details.
I apologise for the bad spelling and grammar in my first message. It will have come as muddled. I was under a lot of stress and I wanted to get in touch with someone on this.
