Can you post pictures of your meters. IHDs are not regarded as key bits of kit in the smart metering programme and suppliers go deaf at the mention of the words replacement and free. You can probably buy one (but only from a reputable source (not eBay or the like)). Our resident expert can advise once he knows the meter details. @theunknown tech will probably be able to give you an expert reply.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Hi Meldrew, thanks for the prompt response. I've attached a pic of my electricity meter. I think the gas one is similar/the same, I can get a photo of that too but it's a bit harder to reach. As I understand it, my meter would be compatible with the purchasable Ivie meter, but I can't afford the £50-£70 at the moment. Ideally I was hoping to get an IHD so I can get on top of my energy usage before the big price hikes come in after next week. I was hoping that as I've never been given one, there might be a chance I could get one, as everyone else seems to have done... but I just seem to be hitting dead ends at the moment.
The best chance you've got would either be the ivie Bud or Hildebrand Glow IHD. I'm afraid the "free" ones E.On Next give out are terrible and break way too easily. Otherwise, my thread documents some other options you can check out.
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

I don’t have a smart meter. But I know that using energy costs money and a lot more than it used to. I know that my kettle uses 2.5 kw and the more I use it the more it costs. I know if I fill it with more water than I really am going to use that is a waste. An In home display only tells you your total energy use, but doesn’t tell you what is using the power, you still have to figure that out yourself. You can do a huge amount of energy saving without an in home display.
You could try downloading the Hildebrand Bright App to your phone. It’s free and it shows your electricity and gas usage down to half- hourly intervals. I downloaded it recently and it started working almost immediately, although sometimes you have to wait a few hours I believe.
I’ve had the same bought a replacement ish but won’t connect and the only answer I can get is read the instructions but that does not even tell how to reset the thing
Had to get it off eBay eon wanted me to pay £300 plus for all new smart meters after initially saying they would send me one out as I was a new customer
